Once you are sure that they are the right choice for you, your stylist will discuss the look you are after.  Your appointment can take up to 6 hours depending on what you are having done. However you could pop in on your lunch break for a splash of extension colour or a fringe.

Hair extensions are not an impulse decision and keep them looking salon fantastic you need to be committed to looking after them properly. Once sure that they are the right choice for you, your stylist will discuss the look you are after.

How long does it take?

The time varies depending on the length and thickness of your own hair and what you are seeking to achieve, for example you need to allow 5-6 hours for a whole head of extensions (remember you would have to wait 3-4 years to grow your own hair!)
Adding a splash of extension colour or a fringe can take as little as 20-40 minutes. Alternatively, if your hair is fine and you want to add volume using extensions, than allow a couple of hours.

The cost?


The extensions are likely to cost from 200-600, depending on weather you have a partial or full head and the grade of hair you choose. A few highlights may cost as little as 20-40.

How to look after the extensions?

It is vital that you return to the salon for the first hair wash in order to learn the correct techniques. Your raccoon stylist will show you exactly how to wash, condition, dry and style your hair and give you the extend aftercare products to use at home, this uniquely formulated products extend shampoo, extend conditioner and extend leave-in conditioner- have been specially developed by Racoon for use on extended hair. We also recommend you pop back to the salon for monthly maintenance visit, so that bonds can be checked over, the extensions rotated and any replaced if needs be.

How long do they last?

About 3-4 months generally, after which time the bonds will have grown down and the extensions should be removed. Providing the extension hair has been well looked after, it can be reattached close to the scalp.

Will extensions damage my own hair?

No -providing you go to a Racoon appointed salon. Our system is hair friendly, the bonds cause zero damage and are easy to remove as they are to apply.

How easy are they to look after?

Extensions need to be treated with respect and a few simple rules adhered to including separating the bonds before washing them supporting them when brushing, tying up the hair when sleeping and using specially formulated extend aftercare products.

How can I be confident of the quality of the stylist?

Racoon only supplies its systems to professionally trained stylists and we insist upon giving expert training with every system sold.
Ask to see stylist's certificate to be certain.
